One last note, burning in a barrel can be and usually is extremely dangerous. You would be surprised at the number of wildfires that originate from a barrel.
The next time you ride through the county, take notice. The barrels are located behind the house and are placed adjacent to woodland, brushland or an overgrown field. Very few have a Hire screen or lid handy to place over the top. Most of them are rusty and have holes.
Usually there has been little effort to clear a fire-safe zone around the barrel.
