PUBLIC HEARING TAX RELIEF PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY/HANDICAPPED On Monday, March 6,1989, at 7:00 p.m. the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County will hold a public hearing at the Courthouse in Washington, VA to consider the need for instituting a county tax relief program for the elderly and/or handicapped. Of crucial interest to the Board is the extent of support for such a program from the citizens of Rappahannock. After the public hearing, the Board may choose to investigate the matter further in terms of evaluating lost revenue due to the institution of such a program, as well as the possible increase in the real and personal property tax rates which may result.
