In other action, the planners:

• voted to recommend approval for a special use permit for Mr. and Mrs. Paul Swapman to operate an antique shop in an outbuilding on the same property as their home near Amissville. This application nowgoes to the Board of Zoning Appeals with a recommendation that any sign advertising the business be restricted to six square feet and that employees of the business be restricted to residents of the house.

• recommended approval of a special use permit for Rob Brown to build a three-unit apartment house in Sperry ville with commercial space on the bottom floor. Action on this permit had been delayed from an earlier meeting because Mr. Brown had to supply additional information — a site plan showing the location of the building, provision for parking, water and sewer provisions, and driveways. Since this information had been supplied by Mr. Brown the planners recommended approval of the permit. This application will also go to the BZA for action.

Finally, the planners agreed on final changes to the county’s comprehensive plan. Most of the suggestions for additions made by Dr. Krebser were included. The planners agreed that the area called the General Commercial District would be along Route 211 between the toll house (just west of the Child Care and Learning Center) and the intersection with Route 622 (the Shade Road).
