PUBLIC NOTICE: LANDFILL
Due to a number of illegal dumping incidents and trash ordinance violations which have occured, notice is hereby given that the Rappahannock County Sanitary Landfill will henceforth be closed and secured from access at all times other than normal hours of operation (effective March 1, 1989). Currently, hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 7:30-3:30. County residents who wish to dispose of their household trash only after hours may still do so at the Scrabble dumpster site located on Rt. 626, or at the Huntly dumpster site located on Rt. 522. White goods, scrap metal, construction debris, furniture, and brush may be disposed of only at the landfill, during hours of operation.
