Internal Revenue Service estimates 2,786,000 individual tax returns for 1988 will be filed by Virginians. Approximately 2,800 returns will come from Rappahannock County taxpayers, according to IRS figures.
“The 1988 Federal income tax forms contain few changes and greatly resemble the 1987 forms,” said Jack Petrie, IRS Director in Richmond. “The instructions for the Forms 1040A and 1040EZ, however, were reorganized to make the language, charts and graphics easier to understand.”
