Two Rappahannock students were on the Wakefield School team which competed at the chapter level of the National Mathcounts Competition held at Lord Fairfax Community College on Feb. 18.
Rachel Monahan came in sixth in the individual competition; Stephanie Tomeden was the team alternate. The Wakefield students placed third in the team competition. Other team members were Kristen Hanisch, Matthew Durbin and Diana Fry.
