After going for a dip in the river, we were all anxious to rest and shower. We found our campground actually provided us with both.

Our tents were pitched close to the Potomac River, and some of us chose to collect souvenirs from the beach and became like children on Christmas morning, excited and unaware of what presents we would find.

Finishing our tour of the sewage system Sunday morning, we readily packed into the van for the final canoe adventure.

Visiting another river we were in a very different environment. We saw herons and fish in the marshes, and listened to the wise words of a long-dead Indian chief.

We had completed the second phase of a three-part 4-H leadership training program. Not only did we learn, but we also had fun and made friends along the way.

So we piled back into the van Sunday afternoon and headed to Mickey D’s, our last adventure together before heading home.
