and high-school English classes, who will help select the stories to be used in the play.
Local artists, including musician Barbara Calliagh and actress Dinah Day, will help with the creation of the play. Internationally acclaimed choreographer and founder of Pilobolus Dance Company, Jonathan Wolken, will be helping design the dancing in the play, as well as working with the student performers.
The play is scheduled to be performed the first weekend in May. The research phase of gathering stories will be concluded Jan. 2. Editing will then begin, followed by the creation of the play beginning in February. Some 20 students have already begun working on storytelling and acting with Ms. Kiley.
