Lois - who plans her own shop in the future - is in charge of marketing their product. “We started selling them in Settle’s Garage,” she said of the first sales a year ago, adding that they also did special accounts like Apple Blossom, Front Royal’s Festival of Leaves, items for the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center, Christendom College and others, sold wholtesale or at craft fairs.
She explained most of their work has been wholesale since they were producing for one organization or event where the purchaser bought 12 or more of one item at a time.
Retail is a whole new market for the couple.
The FitzSimons went retail with a limited quantity at Apple Blossom Mall in Winchester and Country Heritage in Washington. Recently, Snaps of Flint Hill was added to their retail sales list, Lois added.
