“The greatest need is the nutritional canned food items, such as baby formula, soup, chili, fish, meats and vegetables,” said Mr. Huntsberry.
Last year, Shenandoah Area Council Scouts collected more than 35,000 cans of food for hungry families in the local nine county area. Nationally, the drive is expected to collect about 89 million cans during this year’s drive.
