She was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Ray Coates and W.E. Coates; two half-sisters, Vera Tanner and Naomi Southard; and her first husband, Woodrow (Billy) Brown.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 1 at Culpeper Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Hughes and the Rev. Bob Rooper officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donnie Foster, John VV. Jenkins, Luther Stanley Jr., Steve Ratcliffe, Frank Smith and Ray Grady.
Memorial contributions may be made to Griffinsburg Baptist Church or Salem Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
