Eric Stamer, 30, of Sperryville was charged with reckless driving after a two-car accident on U.S. 211-522 at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 2, according to Sgt. Morris.

Christine Parker, 21, of Warrenton, was operating a 1985 Volvo westbound when Stamer pulled out in front of her from the median strip, said Sgt. Morris. The Volvo sustained $4,000 in damage; Stainer’s 1990 Honda sustained $4,000 in damage also.

No one was iryured. Trooper J.L. Mullins charged Stamer.

• State Police are looking for the driver of a 1979 Ford pickup who fled the scene after an accident at 2 a.m. Nov. 2, according to Sgt. Morris.

The pickup was on Route 729, one-half mile north of Route 638, when the driver lost control going around a curve and struck a fence belonging to Mary Williams of Flint Hill, said Sgt. Morris.

The truck belongs to Eugenio Sanchez of Flint Hill, but he was not the driver, said Sgt. Morris.

The pickup was destroyed and the fence sustained $400 in damages.

Trooper Mullins is investigating.
