A Culpeper woman was injured in a two-car accident on Route 729 at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 3, according to Sgt. G.A. Morris of the State Police.

Shirley Settle, 49, of Culpeper, was operating a 1988 Dodge pickup southbound on Route 729, 30 feet north of Route 640, when Donald Southerd, 30, of Castleton, pulled his 1978 Ford pickup out into her path, said Sgt. Morris.

Ms. Settle was transported from the scene by helicopter. Southerd was charged by Trooper W.E. Walther with failure to yield the right-of-way.

The Dodge was destroyed and the Ford sustained minor damages.
