The concert will also celebrate the release of “Wisdom of the Wood,” a new collection from Narada/MCA records that features Trapezoid performing one of Mr. Reisler’s original compositions, “Big Salmon." This collection honors the art of the musical instrument maker. Mr. Reisler, who built all kinds of string instruments for almost 25 years, wrote part of the introduction for the booklet that accompanies the collection and served as a consultant on the whole project.
The concert is sponsored by Ki Theatre and Rappahannock Elementary School. Proceeds will benefit the school’s field trip fund.
Tickets for the concert are available at various locations throughout the area. Advance tickets are suggested as most of the Trapezoid concerts in the area over the years have sold out.
