To the Editor:
Although the elections are now over and the voters have made their decisions, I hope you will consent to run yet another (and hopefully the last for a while) election inspired letter.
I have seen and read with growing distaste the political ads in print and on the airwaves over the last few weeks, many of which have a common theme of negativism and outright viciousness.
The letters to the editor however, have been fairly enlightening and educational simply because they state basic opinions of why certain readers prefer certain candidates and for the most part these writers tend to list the positive attributes of their respective favorite candidates.
It was, then, with quite a bit of disappointment and more than a little disgust that I read the vitriolic attack on this paper, the Democratic candidates, the Democratic Party, and several local individuals who are highly and deservedly respected in our community. And who wrote this wonderful letter that characterizes so well all that is wrong with politics
