the best leadership in the world. I hope that the animosity that has recently pervaded relations between the parties will soon subside so that the average voter can once again feel proud to participate in political discussions and actions without fear of becoming part of the seemingly sordid cycle of accusations and recriminations that some people seem to favor.
A step in the right direction would be to remove the vengeful acrimonious people who seem to currently be in charge and replace them with some of the outstanding rank and file members who I know are out there. It is my hope that something short of looking death in the face (as was the case with Lee Atwater) will convince these dirty tricksters of the wrongness of their ways. If, after thousands of years, the Arabs and the Israelis can finally sit down to work out their problems, then maybe, after only a few years of deteriorating relationships, the Republicans and Democrats can at least become civil towards one another again. Oh well, at least I can dream.
