A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Polly Jane Cloud Compton.
Survivors include five brothers, Albert Compton of Amissville, Warren E. Compton, E.B. Compton and David Compton, all of Castleton and Charles Compton of Front Royal.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Compton family graveyard on Brown Compton’s farm in Castleton. The Rev. L.D. Savage officiated.
