Church bazaar
A bazaar will be held at Amissville United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 and will feature all kinds of handmade crafts, Christmas crafts, apple butter, pecans and a white elephant table. There will also be a bake sale and lunch will be available.
Bingo at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department began its special bingo at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4. Bingo will be held on Monday evenings until further notice. There will be a $500 jackpot. Call Sheila at 937-4357 for more information.
Citrus fruit on sale
Several groups in the county will be selling fruit until Dec. 2 to help raise money for their respective organizations. Naval oranges ($18 box, $11 1/2 box), red grapefruit ($17 box, $11 1/2 box) and juice oranges ($15 box and $9 1/2 box) are being sold by the RCHS band, the RCHS chorus and the 7th grade students of RCES. Rainforest group to meet
The Rappahannock Rainforest Action Group will meet on Thursdays through the month of November. The meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Windflower Gallery.
