Rappahannock County, our diversity is our wealth. In a time when education is under attack from within and without, we must build bridges, not burn them.

To the Editor:

I have received so many compliments about the “Cat’s Tale” I feel compelled to file a status report. The cats have all been adopted. The yellow one was the last to go. The couple who picked it up was undecided, whether to name it “Sticky or Walter. ”

Col. Maurice Biddle, a forever Rappahannock neighbor, wrote congratulating me on a fine piece of writing and suggested that from time to time I submit a column to the Rappahannock News with “Trenchant observations about this-n-that.” -

At one time Col. Biddle and I played golf regularly. His generous interpretation of winter rules and use of meaningful Mulligans left me’ with warm affection and great respect for his opinion. I will then now make some trenchant remarks and questions about “Letters to the Editor.”
