“I knew we were going to have a good season,” said Coach Leake, which would have been to finish in the top three or four. “But to be 11-0 right now feels great. It’s unbelievable."
Two wins this week will clinch at least a tie for the regular-season title. The team finishes up with games at George Mason May 1, Brentsville May 8, and Central May 11. The April 29 home game against Clarke was too late for press deadlines.

So far this season, the Rappahannock High baseball team has been every game it’s played—except the first one, when they were blown out by Page County, 12-0.
Since that first game Page has gone on to first place in the Bull Run District standings, but April 15 they hosted Rappahannock and were lucky to come away with a 7-7 tie, called because of darkness.
Rappahannock built a 3-1 lead going into the bottomt)f the third inning, when Page exploded for five runs. The teams traded runs in the fifth, and Rappahannock got another score in the sixth, making the tally 7-5 going into the top of the seventh.
Richie Lillard hit a bases-loaded double with one out in the top of the seventh, scoring Hunter Foster and Kevin Jolliffe and tying the game.
Page came to bat in the bottom of the seventh with the game even and darkness approaching. Pitcher J.C. Welch, who had come in in relief for starter Kevin Daymude in the sixth, forced Page’s number two hitter to ground out, then struck out the next
