For the last year and a half, Charles and I have been responsible for a two-mile stretch of U.S. 522 in the “Adopt-a-Highway” program.
The program requires that litter on the roadside be picked up four times a year. April is one of the designated months, with the 18th suggested as a statewide date for litter pickup.
