David Gangel, superintendent of public schools in Rappahannock, has brought new life to the county’s educational system. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s in Ohio, at Bowling Green State and at Miami University, coming to Virginia for his doctorate in education at Virginia Tech and at Shenandoah.
He has taught biology and headed the science department at the high school level, has been assistant principal, dean of students, and principal in both middle school and high school, director of secondary instruction, and adjunct associate professor at Old Dominion University.
These educators will discuss their schools’ innovative programs, which provide growth and change opportunities for those not currently in school.
Remember that this First Friday Program falls on the first day of May (tomorrow) at 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Library.
An opportunity to talk with the presenters will occur when refreshments are served at the program's conclusion.
