As I sort out my thoughts and feelings after reading John Frohnmayer’s book, Leaving Town Alive, my first sensation is that the author is inviting us to think. He is forthcoming about what he thinks, but the chronicle of his two and a half years in public service is such a complete one that the food for thought reminded me of my first Norwegian smorgasbord.
If one is interested in the arts, in politics, in government, in human nature, in our national diversity, in what our society is like today, in exploring one’s own character and personality, or in philiosphy, one will find Mr. Frohnmayer’s tale of his life as a Presidential apointee useful and challenging.
