Gynecological Self Help: Menstruation from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8. Creating a new way of thinking about menstruation, we will examine the physiology and the mythologies surrounding this uni-, versal female experience. Nutritional and herbal self help for menstrual problems as well as caring for ourselves in our menstrual time will be discussed.
Gynecological Self Help II: Menopause from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Cot. 15. Traditionally considered a traumatic, difficult and miserable time in a woman’s life, menopause can be a joyful transition into the second half of female adulthood. In this workshop, we will explore the emotional and spiritual implicaitons of menopause as well as offering practical physical self help for hormonal balancing, hot flashes, bone-building, fatigue and heart palpitations.
Gynecological Self Help III: Vaginal, Pelvic and Breast Conditions from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22. Learn to recognize the symptoms of vaginal conditions, infections, and STDs as well as breast conditions, benign breast disease and cancer. We will discuss orthodox medical treatment and alternative therapies. In this workshop you will begin to acquire the knowledge to help you make the best choices in prevention and treatment of gynecological disease.
