Horse N Hound

You don’t have to go to Warrenton to get horse, tack, or pet supplies. It’s available right here in Flint Hill at Ann Pankow’s new shop, Horse N Hound.
The store, which opened quietly in July, carries a complete line for the horse set, from saddles to boots, plus everything you need for your dog or cat. A Grand Opening is planned from 10 to 2 this Saturday, Sept.
Pankow runs Horse N Hound with some help from Christine, her seven-month old daughter. She feels that her business dovetails with her husband Ken’s profession as an equine dentist.
The shop carries “everything” needed for riding and the hunt, including bridles, saddles, boots and shoes, hats, riding britches, hunt jackets and other clothing in all price ranges. Custom boots and special orders are welcome.
Store hours are 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday.
Jewelry and other gift items, books and greeting cards, help round out the merchandise, and more is on order. Almost all of the items have an animal theme. “If you don’t see it, just ask,” said Pankow.
