. The cameras were set on time-delayed flash and were triggered by passive infra-red heat and motion sensors. They were sensitive enough to detect birds as small as crows. Locations were picked according to where the cats had been reported. Though no mountain lions were captured on film, Atkinson’s cameras documented foraging and inter-species behavior of “tons of bobcats,” bears, raccoons, skunks, eagles, vultures, feral and free-roaming dogs, and the first coyotes found in the park.
