Zachary has definitely learned about dedication. The 14-year-old will tumble out of bed at 7 a.m. every morning to feed the animals. As he walks into the pen, the sheep gather around him, knowing they will soon be fed. He loads the feeding troughs with grain, barley and hay. The older ewes rush to the feeding trough, nearly knocking Judd to the ground, to secure their spots. Zachary then carefully pulls the younger ewes aside to a separate pen where he can make sure they are fed. While the animals are eating, Zachary cleans up, removing the old hay that had been in the pen for a couple of days with a fresh layer.
