Levi Jefferson Atkins, 85, of Amissville died Monday, July 27 at Blue Ridge Christian Home .
He was bom Sept. 27, 1912 in Rappahannock County to the late Ashby Jackson Atkins and Treva Atkins.
He was predeceased by his wife Cora Frances Atkins.
Mr. Atkins was a farmer and a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown..,
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 2 p.m. at Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown with the Rev. H. Vernon DeLong. Burial will be in the Washington Masonic Cemetery in Washington.
Survivors include two sons Jack J. Atkins and Levi J. Atkins Jr; a daughter-in-law Sharon Atkins, all of Amissville; three sisters Mary An^a Jenkins of Washington,* Lois Dodson and Maggie Atkins, all of Front Royal; two brothers Roy Atkins and Joseph Hill Atkins, both of Sperryville; two grandchildren Rachel Atkins of Jeffersonton and Patty Boldridge of Rixeyville.
