During tne evening periormance on July 25, there were many deaf audience members present. The performance interpreter, Theresa Light, requested that all audience members clap both audibly and visually by raising their hands as a gesture of “solidarity” among all participants. When a deaf actress in the musical, Emmy Lou Chute, Look her bow at the end of the ;performance, the audience was •a sea of waving hands to show their appreciation to Chute in her own language.
