HOG CONTRACT
Youth may tag one additional animal than may be shown (two if showing a single market hog, three if showing a pen of 2, or four if showing a single and a pen of two. (This includes, in the case of family members, the tagging of a joint hog as a backup choice.) Hogs are not required to be tested this year for pseudorabies and brucellosis. This requirement may change, and will be determined on a year-to-year basis depending on state status. All hogs to be shown during the fair will be weighed and tagged. Contact your club leader or the Extension office for date. Completed contracts must be turned in at this time. The suggested minimum weight for hogs at the initial weigh-in at the beginning of the project is 60-80 pounds.
