The meeting of the Rappahannock Library Board got off to an unusual start last week when the group was addressed via speaker phone by its president, E. Franklin Warner. Warner was at the University of Virginia Hospital’s Coronary Care Unit after having undergone heart surgery the week prior. He spoke briefly and all present wished him well.
Vice president, Charlotte Nichols presided in Warner’s absence. The board voted to cancel the August meeting. Its next regular meeting will be Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.
