The supervisors authorized payment of $101,919.71 from the Fire Levy fund for fire and rescue bills. Of this amount, $90,981.11 will be a pay out to the individual fire and rescue companies for regular bills. The other $10,938.60 will go toward the cost of replacing a water tank on a town of Washington fire truck.
The board authorized a supplemental appropriation of no more than $4300 to the Sheriff’s Office Motor Vehicle Fund for purchase and installation of an automobile lift for the bus shop. Sheriff Larry Sherertz and Tim Beahm from the bus shop spoke to the board about the need for this equipment. This will allow the shop to do work on newer vehicles that it couldn’t do in the past. They would also be able to work on emergency vehicles with the new lift.
Also authorized was a supplemental appropriation of $66,325.96 to the Clerk’s Office for imaging equipment. The equipment, which has been in use since October, is being used to record deed records. County Clerk Diane Bruce informed the board that there has been no increase in costs since her office switched to this new system. She also noted that there has not been a need for deed books since that time.
