A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who came out to see the
Headwaters, Inc., summer program, “Heart-Cries of a Captive People” on July 23 and 24. It was your support which made “Heart-Cries” such a success. It still amazes me that our community will brave high temperatures in order to support our students. I love this place.
I’d like to thank the almost 50 middle and high school students who spent many long days rehearsing and performing “Heart-Cries.” My hat is off to each one of you. As I told the audience on Saturday night, if these kids are any indicator of the future of our nation, we’ve got nothing to worry about. (I suspect their extremely supportive parents have something to do with it)!
Thank you to Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, for your encouragement and support. Our county is blessed to have you working like the dickens to enrich the lives of our students.
