Office space issues
Once again, the board discussed office space for the Treasurer, Commissioner of Revenue and Registrar offices. The issue had been taken up previously in April.
Commissioner of Revenue Beverly Atkins, Treasurer Frances Foster, and Registrar Nancy Newlin all addressed the board regarding lack of space in their respective offices. They all agreed that space is tight, privacy is an issue and there aren’t enough outlets for all of the equipment.
An additional concern is handicapped access for the offices. None of the buildings currently have handicapped access. The Registrar’s office in particular needs to have a plan for providing
