Even though they are not natives of Rappahannock County, Tom Tepper and his wife Joanne say they love living here.
Tom Tepper is the newest member of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, representing StonewallHawthorne District. He replaces former commission chair Sharon Pierce, and sat in on his first meeting last month.
Tepper was approached in June by county Supervisor Bob Anderson about serving on the commission, but was reluctant to accept initially. He decided to join the commission because he thought it gave him a chance to put his architectural skills to use.
He also saw it as a chance to give something back to the county. He says that his position on the commission “will allow me to serve the citizens of Rappahannock County, consistent with the ideals of the comprehensive plan and environmental protection.”
