The home building industry is extremely busy these days, especially in Rappahannock County. County Building Inspector Richie Burke says that right now, “if you need a good contractor, they’re hard to find.”
New home construction is on a pace this year to surpass 1998 figures. And the estimat*ed dollar amount of new construction is expected to do the same.
For all of 1998, 50 new homes were built. Thirty-six homes have been started for this year through July 21. Over 10.2 million dollars was spent in the county last year on all new construction, and just over seven million has
