A nurturing facility
The Hearthstone physical facility nurtures too. Each of the classrooms is beautifully decorated, and painted in a color schefhe designed to provide the child with an awareness of the power of beauty.
Classroom colors change with the grades—nurser^ and kindergarten kids are enveloped in mild flesh tones, third graders have a yellow classroom, and fourth graders work in green.
Music and arts are dominant, and seem to tie together the strands of the Hearthstone education. The kids have an opportunity to participate in choir, and learn to play the piano, violin, recorder, and guitar. Crafts skills are taught and follovv the age and development Qf the child. They learn to knit and sew, sculpt with bees wax, tie dye, do metal work and batik.
The nurturing environment does not stop at the school door. Outside, the Castleton Farms scene puts the visitor and students at total ease. The children are involved with the animals— learning about them and
