Happy August birthday wishes are sent out to Ashleigh Arrington (11), Kevin Martin (11), Carrington Smith, and Partick Owen Mullikin (3).
Returning home after a ten day visit in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., is Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Jones and their grandson, Crockett Morgan Poland. Myrna Harrison hosted her daughter Valerie, son-in-lav/ Donald, and great grandson Crockett during their stay. They treated Crockett to water slides, miniature golf, Robot World, and rode a steam train.
On Sunday, the family attended a family reunion for the descendants of Dave and Elsie Nelson. One hundred and two family members were present and enjoyed many activities as well as a lot of good food.
This trip was a special treat for Crockett who starts kindergarten this fall in Fauquier County.
It’s hard to believe school will begin in just a few short weeks. First day back for Culpeper and Rappahannock County teachers is Aug. 23 and school in both counties will begin Aug. 30. Many stores have supply lists available from a variety of schools indicating the materials needed by grade. As any mother who has waited until the last week before school begins will tell you, glue is nonexistent! Shop early and hit those bargains.
