The Gifted and Talented students at Rappahannock Elementary School painted the stage backdrop used for the spring fashion show held last Sunday. The scene carried out the show theme, “Country Time in Rappahannock.” Among the students painting the scenery were Karen Ludwick, Terry Woodard, Karen Jordan, Deiyk Moore and Moses Jones along with teacher Laurie Marshall.
Fifty youngsters participated in 4-H Share the Fun contests, public speaking and demonstrations last Thursday evening at the Rappahannock County Elementary School.
Three students at the local high school will join a tour conducted by the American Institute for Foreign Study this summer for nine days to England and Scotland. Belinda Burke, Donna Gore and Jona McKay will leave Washington, D.C. on June 24 for the trip abroad. The young ladies will be accompanied by Linda Toth, a former teacher here, now employed by the Warren County School System.
