Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Don Corbin and all the family connection upon the passing of his grandmother, Mrs. Polly Nicholson Corbin last Wednesday.
Funeral services were conducted at Clore-English Funeral Home on Saturday with Rev. Josh Shiflett and Rev. Perry Utz. officiating. Mrs. Corbin had been a resident of Culpeper Health Center for a number of years and was the widow of Elder Stanley Corbin, a Regular Baptist Minister who has preached in most of the Regular Baptist Churches in the area and for several years pastored Salem Regular Baptist Church in Berryville.
Mrs. Corbin’s request was for Dr. Wayne Thompson to preach her funeral, but he was unable to do so because of his conducting meetings in South Carolina at the time.
For all of us who had the pleasure of visiting her in the nursing home, she will be greatly missed as the majority of her conversations were about her Lord.
A very impressive service was held at the F.T. Baptist Church on Route 707, on Sunday evening when the Promise Land Baptist Church joined them in a praise service.
