Virginians value the water quality of their streams and rivers and an important step has just been taken towards protecting this valuable resource.
Local soil and water conservation districts recently received news that two grant proposals for the establishment of water quality monitoring stations throughout the upper region of the Rappahannock River Basin have received full funding. The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality granted the request for funds to the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District and the John Marshall Conservation District.
