Social Worker
Must meet the following requirements: Have knowledge of social work principles and practices; knowledge of social, economic, and health problems that face individuals; ability to exchange information orally; ability to make and implement case decisions; ability to assess strengths and needs; ability to respond to clients’ emotions; ability to plan and manage work, with supervision, own work activities; ability to write; and ability to interpret laws, policies and regulations.
Special requirements: Must possess a minimum of baccalaureate degree in Human services field or a baccalaureate degree in any field plus two years of related experience.

These may be obtained from State and local offices of the Department of Social Services, Virginia Employment Commission or on the website at www.dpt.state.va.us.
