Highland School offers academic and athletic opportunities for girls and boys ages 4-18. More than 75 sections are offered, beginning June 18 and continuing through Aug. 17. Topics include science, math, foreign language, drama, art, music and driver education.
A special section of the program is dedicated to 4 and 5year-olds. These areas are taught exclusively by Highland School’s certified pre-kindergarten and kindergarten staff. The camp is fully licensed by the state.
Athletic opportunities include basketball, soccer, girls lacrosse, field hockey and volleyball. In addition, the ever-popular “sportsfest” camps will continue.
Some of the highlights are:
• During the week of June 18-22, art and music will take center stage, with many fun and rewarding opportunities.
• Local artist Wendy Wiebe has agreed to share her world of felting in two great weeks. (Limited enrollment.)
• Kent State University returns to offer a field hockey camp.
• Driver education classes will be offered, both in the classroom and behind the wheel. Students may receive Virginia’s 90-day temporary license from the school. This section is limited to 25 stu
