Trained, qualified leaders will take youth to the environs of Breathing and Sinks of Gandy Caves for the caving trip; the wilderness of West Virginia for backpacking; the Lower New River for white water rafting and the Potomac River for the kayaking trip.
Ironman I provides a sampler of kayaking, caving and backpacking, while Ironman II offers caving, backpacking and horseback riding. Junior ages can also try the Ironman and backpacking trips programmed just for them.
“Survivor” Week is for experienced wilderness ad-venturers. This program will involve teens 15-18 years in activity, budget, and program coordination while learning survival skills in the West Virginia wilderness.
All basic equipment is supplied for each trip. Participants will need to provide their own sleeping gear and backpacks. The 4-H Center has a limited number of packs for rent.

Youth must reach the minimum age between Oct. 1, 2000 and Sept. 30, 2001.
For all camps above $100, an early-bird deposit of $50 per camp will secure a spot. The remaining balance must be postmarked by June 1 to receive the early-bird rate.
