effectively district conservation programs have reduced pollution, to identify what areas could benefit from our conservation programs, and establish a more comprehensive background database than currently exists.
The information collected at each station will include macro invertebrate population levels, water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphorous, and nitrogen. The DEQ currently monitors 21 of the 64 streams for these parameters. Twenty of the stations will also be monitored for suspended solids and decal coliform bacteria.
