Do Oil And Water Mix? A show opening at the Packing Shed Gallery in Washington, features oil paintings by June Jordan and watercolors by Sally Nash from April 3 through May 6. The opening reception is Sunday, April 8 from 2 to 6 p.m.
June Jordan began as a potter, but now focuses her direction toward painting and drawing. Her paintings are strong in composition using color to describe values and forms. Tb •date, she paints from life with figure painting being her main 'emphasis.
Sally Nash, former dancer, .choreographer and director' of the Last-Minute Wood Company ^shares the show with Ms. .Jordan. Her lyrical watercolors ,eombine phantasmagoric imagery with structural rigor, in .9 way that audiences familiar with her dance work will recognize. This is the first time her work will be seen in a gallery.
