students from Rappahannock County Elementary School left for their annual trip. They knew Virginia history was their destination; they didn’t know a meeting with Governor Wilder was too. They were all excited at the great opportunity to visit and tour Williamsburg.

Rappahannock High Senior Jeremy Tble has been chosen to participate as a member of the 18-and-under 'Ifeams USA select men’s soccer team. As a member of the Virginia team, Jeremy will travel to the Netherlands this summer for training and then compete with teams from Europe and the United States in youth soccer tournaments.
Wakefield School held its annual Medieval banquet last week, celebrating the winter festival of Candlemas and providing students with a lesson in Medieval history. In addition to the banquet and costume contest, the evening was filled with numerous games and activities that were characteristic of the period.
Spring Mountain School celebrated the first day of Spring, March 20 with a sunny visit to Over Jordan Farm. Owner Linda Dietel escorted the combined kindergarten and nursery classes with faculty members Bethany Craig and Paige Noel through the farm. The children petted sheep, held three-day-old lambe and weighed themselves on the sheep scale.
