neynolds said, Last year, we saw the major animals of Africa: elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, giraffe. Plus cheetah, water buffalo, zebras and several varieties of monkeys.

“Everybody should do a safari once in their lives,” she went on. “We only see the animals in zoos, and spotting these animals in the wild is tremendously exciting.”

Three times daily, guests go on game runs in Land Rovers — early in the morning, again after breakfast, then once more in the evening. Reynolds said that no one is ever too tired, or too comfortable, to stay in camp and miss the opportunity to see an animal.

As the tour moves through the country, it stops for three nights at Lake Eyasi, home of the Wahadzabe people.
