Mr. Clifton was bom Feb. 6, 1925 in Jane Lew, W.Va., a son of William J. and Ida Belle Ware Clifton.
He was a mechanic for 44 years having retired in 1987.
Surviving are his wife, Emma J. Frye Clifton; a son, James H. Clifton of Bel Air, Md. and three grandchildren.
Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
Boyce Coffey

Boyce Coffey, 88, of Edinburg died Tuesday, March 20 in Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.
He was bom April 1, 1912, in McCreary County, Ky., a son of the late S. Nelson and Mertie Holloway Coffey.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 22 at the Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowmans Crossing by Pastor Larry Cook. Burial followed in Sunset View Memorial Gardens, Woodstock.
Mr. Coffey served in the US Army Calvary and worked as a coal miner.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Coleman of Amissville and Margaret Ervin of Warrenton; a son, William Coffey of Edinburg; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was the husband of the late Margaret M. Coffey.

Julia W. Heflin, 65, of The Plains died Saturday, March 24 at Oak Springs Comprehensive Care Center.
She was bom Feb. 14, 1936 in Amissville.
She was the Assistant Branch Manager for The Plains Branch of the Fauquier Bank for 28 years.
She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
