The program was run by the Rappahannock Farmers’Association in conjunction with the Clarke County Extension Office.
Although a goal of 500 bales had been set, the final tally was 1,665.
The new Rappahannock County library is dedicated and open to the public.
In a dedication speech, the chairman of the Library Board of Trustees, Dr. William Young, said the opening of the library “marks a beginning” in Rappahannock as the library “links the future with the past.”
